Beginning next week (10.12 and 10.13)

Parents, I have several students who are failing classes.  If you have students who are failing classes for me, it is because they have incomplete assignments in Unit 1.  These assignments that are currently listed as incomplete in the grade book were due over one month ago.  As of next week, students who still have incomplete assignments in Unit 1 will complete work with paper and pencil until Unit 1 is complete.  To assist students in completing the work, some assignments may be sent to Work Recovery.

Parent Access to your student’s Odysseyware Progress

If you received an email from Odysseyware, it was to confirm your email address.  This confirmation would allow you to see your student’s progress on the Odysseyware platform.

If you did not receive an email and you would like to receive updates, please send me an email (jodycarter@walkerschools.org) and I will add your parent information to your student’s Odysseyware account.

Class Grading Reminders (9.5.17)

Students, remember grades are given for completed sections of units and for unit tests.  Your grades will remain “INC” (incomplete) as long as the section has incomplete work.

For instance, let’s say your Language Arts class has 4 lessons and a Quiz  for Unit 1, Section 1.  Untill all assignments for the section are complete (all lessons and the quiz) are complete, you will still have an “INC” (incomplete) for your grade for the section of that Unit.

Assignments remaining incomplete for 1 week will be marked with a grade of “0” (zero).

Report Cards will go home this Friday!

In addition to report cards, your student should also bring home an Odysseyware report, similar to the one pictured below:

20161011_203825

This report will show the percents of work they have completed so far for this semester.

Your student must successfully complete the coursework for this class in order to exit the Recovery Program.
